I agree that it may not be a good idea for those in customer facing positions, but if your work in an office setting, it should be fine.

My office can be overwhelming at times. It’s a sea of cubicles, it’s freezing cold, there’s multiple conversations going on, weird smells, and people walking by.

AirPods makes being in the office more tolerable. Most of the time I’m not listening to anything at all. I’m using them for the noise cancellation feature. I feel more in control because I can turn off one of my senses when it all starts to feel overwhelming.

As a result, I’m able to be more productive because I’m able to focus more.
