People take this website too seriously.

I agree with the title. I think some people on reddit do most of their human interaction here. So they think reddit "culture" is the norm. I dont mean that in a poltical way. I sometimes met people who lack social skills and cause weird situations because they use reddit/interner humor in social situations.

2-3 weeks ago I was at a birthday party in a bar (My country reopened), and one off the guys, an adult man, thought it would be funny to say things like "bonk go to horny jail" or "Instagram is for normies" at a table were 90% of the people at the table didn't even know what he is talking about. He was the cousin of the girl who had birthday. She took him with her because he has no social life. He told me later that reddit was his favorite website

Also, I think its worrying how many people on reddit post about not having friends, a gf/bf/a job/social anxiety, etc. I am not shaming them, but you cant improve your socials skills on reddit.
