I dated the great granddaughter of a very famous old-timey actress. Not gonna say the name cause you can easily Google her and I'd like to protect her privacy.

It's affected her life in very minor ways. She's occasionally contacted by historians, filmmakers and writers asking for interviews, for photo ops, for consultation, etc. She learned a lot of stories from her grandmother and mother - so she tells those. I believe she has a few relics and pieces of passed down jewelry too.

We didn't date long. The girl has a lot of mental health problems that made our short termed relationship very difficult and stressful. Artists, ya know?

However, a few years have passed and we started hanging out mildly and recently as friends. She's gotten better, and I ofc learned my lesson about sticking a dick in crazy. She was recently a special guest at a documentary film premier regarding the actress and did some Q and A stuff.

That's about it.

Oh, mildly related, I was also good friends with a B-Level Hollywood horror screenwriter for years. He was weirdly well connected and knew folks like Rob Zombie and whatever. We met originally as music-nerds looking to to start a project. Great guy, but I slowly watched him turn into a Trump supporter (though, he voted Stein in the General). He's a walking case for the Horseshoe theory.

I tried to be respectful of his views, and avoid contentious subjects - just trying to only talk music, but he kept making everything political. Even his harsh stance against refugees I kept shut about (I was granted Asylum 25+ years ago). Eventually we just stopped talking and he blocked me.

It's sad, cause we were once so close. Ah well.
