To the people who disliked at least 2-3 seasons of AHS, why are you still so invested in thw show?

I am going to be in a minority here but I didn't actually start AHS until S4. I don't really watch a lot of TV but I usually have 4-5 shows on rotation for when I have down time. I was recommended AHS from a friend after hearing I needed a new show to watch. So I dove right in at the most current season as I was informed they linked but I wouldn't be in the dark about the plot since each season is a new tale. I really love S4 because you have to understand that Carnivale was one of my all time fave shows. So while it was messy at times, slower paced, and missed opportunities of brilliance; I just had such a soft spot for it. After my S4 binge I started at the beginning and am all caught up. I actually didn't like a lot of s1. Really didn't like s3, and felt a little underwhelmed with S5 as a whole. S2 is my fave and was near perfect except for a few things (mainly lolaliens). I keep watching because I love he ride even when it doesn't take me where I need/want it to. I like the idea behind a lot of what each season tries to convay even if it misses the mark for me and the acting is always good for the most part.
