My best friend is an online friend I met nearly 6 years ago in an MMO. For about 5 years we spent almost every moment of every day in some form of voice call. We were both just two lonely awkward and introverted people.

For those 6 years I never really did much with my life and I saw them through their university graduation.

They've gotten busy with their career and I've still done nothing. It's been a few months since then and over the last year we've started speaking less and less..going from every day to every few days to every other week to around once a month for an hour or so.

I'm sure the friendship is still there but I dont really feel it anyone and the quietness can get quite painful at times but I'm surviving I guess.
