People who have done both Grubhub and DoorDash

Is there any danger of deactivation if I never go on block? I don't care about any "ratings" or anything. They always send me two orders an hour, minimum. All blocks are always filled by the time I start driving.

Going on block doesn't seem to matter. I did it once and made $32 the first hour and $0 the second hour. I got a ping 1 minute before my block ended and I declined it ($7 for ~6 miles) because I had just given up and accepted a UE order.

I don't like the idea of being punished in any way for keeping myself busy as an independent contractor. Blocks could be nice as they would cut down oversaturation but it seems like a way of asking me to works as an employee.

I am an IC so they can't be deactivating me for simply not accepting some contracts, on block or not.

I guess I just don't see any benefit from blocks, here.
