People who dump their senior dogs at the shelter.....how dare you.

I agree with you OP, but sometimes people are forced into situations where they have to make a tough decision.

I have three dogs (two are very old and have been adopted by my parents, and we adopted one with my husband later) but after my parents's divorce they wanted nothing to do with them. I live in our old family home, and now we have to sell it (I share the ownership with my sister, and she is adament on selling the property so I have no choice, since I can't buy her out). We will have to move out, but we won't be able to afford a place with a garden, since we have our first baby on the way and have to be smart about our savings and income. We could afford and manage to take care of one of them, but not all three. My heart is so broken because I love my dogs, and I don't want to give them up, they are my family too, but if I can't convince my parents to take responsibility for them too, then I might have to. I still have a couple of months to try to turn things around, and every day I pray that I can solve it without having to abandon them, but finding a house with a garden for an affordable price in our city will be nearly impossible these days sadly. Moving to a different city would mean losing our income, and that we obviously can't risk now.

Again, I agree with you, but sometimes life sucks and throws impossible choices at you.
