People who have encountered strangers dead bodies, what’s your story?

My friends and I were snowboarding and came across someone a laying down who didn't appear to be breathing. One of us called 911 while the others tried flipping this person over (you shouldn't move someone who may have an injury, we weren't thinking). His eyes had the thousand yard stare that gave me nightmares. We were like, this guy is gone, there's nothing we can do for him.

We realized we had already gone through this are once or twice that day and didn't see him then, so we wondered if something happened when we were between runs. I started feeling guilty, wondering if it hadn't been too late for us to do something more for him. I asked one of the officers if they thought we should have done anything differently, all he said was "Next time, put a Serious tag on it".
