People who had to quit their jobs due to stress: what was the job and why was it so stressful?

My mom stress quit. Her managers mistreated her, refused to let her stay home without pestering her (despite her being one of their best workers) and she was just being harassed by managers and other co-workers. I want to say that my mom is one of the best people out there. If anyone on this planet needs anything, and asks her, my mom would drop everything and run to help them. She puts her heart and soul into her work, and her managers would not let her stay home when she was sick, and about to go to the hospital. They demanded that she come to work, and when she refused, they wouldn’t stop calling her, or spamming her inbox. Her managers treat her like trash, and expect her to work overtime, and make demeaning remarks of her race and sex, despite her being nothing but nice to her. One time, a manager didn’t even let her leave his office without agreeing with him about a matter, physically blocking the exits with his body. At the same time, my mom is looking after two elderly beings, and two children. The breaking point was when my mom needed to take a two week leave, and decided to use her sick days, and they refused to let her use her sick days without pestering her. The next day, she called in and said that she was quitting. Once she was off the phone, and walked in to return any company items, they pulled her over to a space where she would not be recorded and bagged her not to quit. She didn’t respond, just said goodbye, tossed the rest of the company belongings on her desk, and left.
