We had a Disney theme!
Everyone could dress up, our only rule was no doubles in the bridal/groomsmen party. This included all properties Disney owned, so Star Wars and Marvel were also cool.
Table markers were Mickey ears, a lot of Disney themed music (until the reception which was just our own play list of fun music). The cake was themed for Roger and Jessica Rabbit because I always say that's who my wife and I are, while in the wedding I was Prince Eric while she modeled her dress and style after Ariel.
Our ceremony and reception were also both in the same place, a theater. The ceremony was 12 minutes long.
I feel that it was fun and awesome and better than every other wedding I've been to. Weddings should be a fun party and celebration, weddings that stuck strongly to tradition are a bore to make it through.
