People who have left organized religion, why? What was the final straw? (Serious)

There were a few things that added up for me.

First, the hypocrisy and the liberal, self-serving interpretation of the Bible were always a stumbling block. But, I could look past it for the community.

Second, there is the wasteful use of donations that don't go towards the community using the biblically-unsupported use of tithes in today's church (consider that if you give 10% to the church and they put 10% into the community, you're really only donating 1% to help others). But, I'm not forced to tithe, so I can donate to causes of my choice.

Finally, the straw, was an event in my life where I really needed their support. There were a couple of people that were there in part. But the church turned there back. Therefore, I walked away.

TL;DR - hypocrisy, wasted donations, and they weren't there when I needed them
