42 year-old virgin. Mostly introverted, didn't have a lot of friends growing up. I still don't have a large circle of friends, and the ones I have were never the type to go out and drink/meet people.

I'm not a bad looking guy, but not exactly attractive either. Wasn't waiting for the right person or marriage, just never had any luck trying to get a date. Didn't have my first date until I was 28.

Went to college, but commuted and worked full-time during, so I didn't get the live on campus/party/college experience. Tried online dating with various services/apps. I never got many matches, and the ones I did get never made it past a first date (which I attribute to lack of experience).

I had to give up on trying a few years back, it was causing some depression from not getting matches/responses and checking back in the apps to see "no more matches in your area" and the like.
