People who objected at a wedding: Why? And what happened afterward?

I was 2 years old when my parents got married, when they were doing the vows I yelled 'No! No!', everyone laughed and they got on with the wedding.

Theres two stories to this, the first is my parents memory of it, that I had dropped my bottle and i was very upset about it.

The second (which is probably a false memory) is that I'd clocked what was going on and I was trying to stop it from happening. My dad travelled a lot for work when I was young, and was responsible for disciplining me when he was home. As far as I was concerned my lovely mother was committing to stay with the random scary man.

With hindsight my mom might have done better to take my advice...
