Had a similar encounter with my mom and dad. This wasn't the first time she tried to harm him, but somehow she found a giant ass knife that he kept hidden away. She chased him down and he ducked into my room, slammed the door closed, and moved my heavy ass solid wood bed in front of it. My room was on the 2nd floor and one side had a small railing that opened to some rafters and the first floor. My dad was comdoerabl crossing them, thank the gods my mom wasn't. She pounded on the door and tried looking around the door and eventually gave up. She left the knife on the railing and went downstairs to watch TV.

Needless to say I had a rough childhood.
