People who work in hotels, what are some the scariest, unexplainable, and/or creepiest things that you have experienced while working?

Okay, this is probably going to get buried and this isn't a ghost story. when I was young I use to work in a hotel in the UK. It was a small place and family owned. As summer came in full bloom, we got a lot of newlyweds. One of them was a family friend of my boss. When I first met the couple, they seemed unhappy and she seemed unusually cold but everyone is different so I shrugged it off.

I was the maid, receptionist, barmaid, and waitress for this joint. I booked their room for a few days and saw them for an hour every night when they sat in the restraunt. However, during the day the husband went out to meet local friends and the wife was nowhere in sight. I figured she went her own way and again, maybe they weren't getting along or they were just a non-traditional couple.

One morning the other maid I worked with came down to the bar where I was prepping. I still remember this clear as day haha. I was polishing the wine glasses and she put down her vacuum and sort of just stood there for a second, looking down at her shoes and back up to me. She was an older woman and it was a pecular sight as she was first of all suppose to be working but the expression on her face was just so unusual.

Finally after a minute she says, "You remember the newlyweds in Room x?" I nodded. "I was unsure whether I should clean their room or not. The husband has been gone everyday and the wife... Well, I tried opening the door and it was locked so I took out my keys and after a while and a bit of a fight with the door, I got it open. I know I should have probably just left it... she was there. She was lying there on her side with her back turned to me. Did you see her leave? No? No one else has either. I don't know whether I should mind my own business or say something.. it's just that, there is only one other key and you need that key to get into the hotel. The door, it can only be locked from the outside y'know. He's been locking her inside that room since they got here and leaving her. She couldn't get out."
