People who've abandoned their old lives and started fresh in different towns/countries, how did you do that? Do you regret it?

The first time, I was 22 living in Utah and was ready for something new. Packed up what I could in my two seat Saturn sky, had $400 in my pocket, and was off to new adventures in Washington state. Moved in with my brother for a few weeks then got an apartment and began working at a medical dispensary. Do I regret it? No, but it sure brought a lot of craziness in my life. Witnessed gov bribes, dirty business, and lived an unhealthy lifestyle. My now husband asked me to move home after about 2 years, so I quit my job and took back off to Utah with what I could fit in my car and gave the rest away to friends and neighbors. A few months in I was very unhappy I'm Utah once again, and we got an opportunity to start a business in MI, so 6 months pregnant packed up our house and am now in the middle of the woods up north happy as can be. My moving has shown me a lot of the garbage I once valued only stuffed up my home, gave me the opportunity to explore, and value experience and relationships instead of material wealth.
