People with an X-factor (a real one): what is it? I wanna hear your stories!

Dealt with abusive parents/friends/community who made fun of my disability and rose above that to become one of the leading youth disability advocates in the nation. I've been interviewed for Teen Vogue, NBC News, and The Washington Post about my work and my story. I lead projects related to digital accessibility that have a global impact and have been recognized by the Clinton Foundation (met the Clinton family recently!) and more. I've interned on Capitol Hill to work on disability and health policy and advised the DOL/state governments on disability policy stuff. I do that all alongside meaningful research related to disability in two labs (neuroscience and public health) w/ a first author publication! I've won numerous international awards for my advocacy and research and given two TEDx talks and multiple other keynote speeches/panels about disability.

Besides disability stuff, I volunteer at a Trauma 1 Emergency Department in one of the most prestigious volunteer programs in the country, help out with APO, and am an occasional tour guide. DW, I sleep as well. I started all of this work in college as a way to find closure after everything that happened, and I couldn't have imagined it would've grown this big.
