stuffed animals. there were her friends that didn't talk back. She gave voice to them for her ( she spoke to these stuffies,, and she would then be the voice of the stuffie as it s replied to her ). Often she would dissociate back when a kid and thinnk that the stuffie was alive. And when stressed would talk to the stuffies as an adult when she was with me. I thought that it was just cure, thinking that she knew that they didn't talk with her . Lordy I was wrong on that one. I later figured that this is where she got the idea that she knew what I wsa thinking. She thought that her thoughts were my thoughts.
She once made a decision for herself that would likewise prompt me to start changing my behavior in the way that she changed. when she say me still doing " it'. she was enraged.
why are you still doing that.. I decided to not do it. " You decided to not do it for you. That doesn't mean that I decided the same thing! " She could NOT understand that.
" Why would I want to stop doing this simply because you thought it. ? That is you thinking that ,, not me thinking that." That conversation went round and round for over an hour. Theory of mind, cognitive permanence, emotional permanence. projection. and whatever else.. lol.

Mind you, she was enraged that I was cheating on her , emotionally , with the neighbors dog. She was screaming at me in the therapist's office about how " Rotter tells Fido all my secrets and his troubles that he is having with me!" um.. the therapist actually asked me to explain myself... lol..
