but it's used against people with ptsd and it trivializes triggers. if someone means butthurt but says triggered instead they're trivializing triggers, that's just how it is. I've told I was triggered because I said it's not funny to joke about rape and while Yeah I Was How Did They Know they said it to invalidate my feelings and make it seem like I was being overly offended for telling them that rape isn't funny.

and what someone defines as a trivial matter is very individual. some people get defensive when they're told they did something insensitive and then they go off on a "lol are you TRIGGERED?" rant instead of owning up to their mistakes and not being an asshole.

it's insensitive and rude to use it in any mocking way and i wish people would stop lol
