I thought it would be a much bigger problem than it was before I was active. Sex has been completely fine because my husband knows obviously and he doesn’t mind a bit. I’ve had a lot more problems surrounding getting the courage to go to the dr (specifically gyno) and worry about what nurses I would have when delivering my babies and whatnot. It’s just upsetting to me to feel like I have to explain that I don’t have stds or anything and it’s just pigment. I’ve never had casual hookups but that initial part of having to explain to someone you don’t well is kinda the same concept. Especially since most people don’t what vitiligo and don’t recognize it immediately. But overall, I think once you get past telling someone what it is initially, everything’s fine after that. No one’s ever had a bad reaction and I’ve only received acceptance.
