definitely depends on the person i’m referring to. if i notice that they prefer to use the term ‘VA’, i use that.

otherwise, i default to performer. it just seems more versatile. i think it’s good as an good umbrella term because it can mean anything from the good folks that use GWA to post ramblefaps to the industry folks with comprehensive voice-acting credits.

i also prefer ‘performer’ because i sing irl, and i feel like i derive more from that to make my audios than my acting. i still go ‘uhh… are you sure about that?’ in my head whenever i hear people refer to me as a VA, lol
