Okay, can someone who understands this please explain it to me? Because I’m not getting it. Like, I’m so puzzled that I’m not even sure what it is that I need to ask to figure out whatever part is eluding me. So, is it considered tragic for gay people to not be seen as the sexuality that they are? Like, I understand visibility being a goal, but homophobia is still a thing, so people have reason for wanting to be “straight-passing,” at least in certain settings. What exactly is “straight passing privilege” that can be applied to anyone of any sexuality? Is it simply not falling into any LGBTQ stereotype when someone looks at you (as opposed to being in relationships with people of the opposite sex)? Maybe I’m understanding this better than I think, but idek. I’ve been watching little kids all day and my brain is a bit fried. Maybe this’ll make more sense when I reread it in the morning. Sometimes that happens.
