'Permanently damaged': 46-year-old San Francisco woman allegedly cyberbullied three boys for years

I have mental illness, and in another thread on this same subreddit it saying not all mentally ill people are capable of violence. It's our society of hate that shapes the violent ones that way. Then we got this thread that is suggesting to taking away bail rights to the mentally ill. This is a very dangerous way of thinking imo. It may not seem like it, giving the atmosphere of gun rights debate, but we still live in a country that should give due process to everyone. Our justice system is all sorts of corruption, and it can take a year just to get a trial if you can't make bail. And we can't keep people locked up, without bail, because of something they might do without the evidence to back it up. And she is awaiting trial to be committed for the crime she did do. Yes, there is a small possibility she could murder the boys like another comment suggested, but that's a very slim chance because there are other mentally ill people who end up in jail because of one break down and isn't a threat to anyone but mostly themselves and they'd be without bail too. This isn't a solution and I'm sad it's suggested as one.
