(Permission granted by OP to repost) Workplace discrimination in Singapore is more pervasive than you think, and no, foreigners are not always the culprit

Nowhere did OP suggest that it’s okay for people in SG to discriminate against minorities. I suggest you read his post again with a more critical eye before you start accusing people of making ridiculous assertions that they didn’t make.

His point is that Singapore has treated its minorities far more fairly than other countries like Malaysia and Brunei. He’s also suggesting that maybe T came from such a place where as a Chinese, he was discriminated against quite badly, hence his disdain for Malays. OP is trying to break down T’s behaviour and suggest an objective reason for his behaviour. He’s not passing a value judgement on whether this is right or not. Feel free to disagree with his premise (that SG affords its minorities better treatment than other countries).
