As a person who ALSO enjoys games on "easy". This game got it right. Respect.

If you really think it's fine for the developer not to include an easy mode if they don't want to, you would have never make any of these comments or responses. It wouldn't have effected you. Any time someone says "I don't care about something", before going on and on about it over multiple posts on the internet. Such comedy! 8)

Not every game is made for every person. It's impossible to make every game, or any form of entertainment, suit the tastes of everyone. Trying to make everything appeal to everyone ruins a ton of things...art, music, books, film, comedy, sports, etc. It's fine if a creator does it on it's own, for it's own reasons, but when they do it just to appease more people who don't even care about the original pieces of art/entertainment/what-have-you...it's garbage. There's a reason "lowest common denominator" is a phrase when it comes to this subject. Of course the whining cry baby that wants to change metal into pop music is going to annoy metal fans. Of course the folks who don't even give a shit about hockey, and don't watch hockey except an occasional Olympic game or to, are going to annoy big hockey fans with their 'suggestions' on how the game should be changed. Do I have to go on?

You don't even understand the developers themselves, including the director of the game, have conveyed how the difficulty is intrinsic part of the experience! That is their artistic vision. They answer questions directly about their goals in the series and how they envision the titles, especially in regards to the great reception they've had over the years. Yet here you are, Johnny Come Lately, thinking you know more than the developers, and those who've been fans for years, about what's a good idea. Not because you simply suggested an Easy mode and "that it's fine" if they don't include it, but because of the way you act like anyone who tries to explain why this game is so popular and what the developers have said to reflect that....all garbage. They know nothing and you deserve all the respect and agreement in the world.

And you yet you call me retarded?

P.S. Easy mode = co-op with summons before each level and/or before each boss. Everybody knows that. That's why people overreact and are 'toxic' in responses to your suggestion. What else do you need to beat the game? Games are not movies, you're going to have to actually participate and not just watch!

If you don't think you're entitled to it, why do you keep making posts about it, responding to every person and having a problem with their explanation? If you didn't care, you would accept that 5 SoulsBorne games don't have distinct "Easy Mode" options. Your explanations why it would be a good thing has been done before. It hasn't worked. There's co-op available already: summon other players before tackling each level, and/or summon other players before tackling each boss. That makes it easier. They haven't envisioned reasons to make easier thus far, and have explained that the fair difficulty, but still very challenging nature of the game for newcomers, is part of their design philosophy and vision ... so why do you keep arguing when some random fan on the internet tells you this? You think you know more than the developers of the game themselves?

Yet you tell me "I'm retarded" and "I'm so far up my own ass"? And you can't grasp this simple concept?

Also, it's not fucking retarded to be protective of what you enjoy. Just because some Johnny-Come-Lately wants to change something and make it accessible to, and made for, everybody under the sun doesn't mean they don't have to face disagreement or criticism. THAT IS RETARDED. Plenty of other forms of art and entertainment have been ruined by their creators when they switch focus towards a broader audience. Of course that's opinion one frequently finds amongst the original fans, but why is that so surprising? So you think it's fucking retarded if a bunch of fans of some obscure genre of music would be all warm and welcoming to the idea that all their favorite musicians who were apart of making that obscure music, just stopped altogether and put out some drivel that's a carbon copy of what's already been done over-and-over, because you may not be a fan of that genre of music?

why is it so hard for everybody to just accept what they enjoy and let others who enjoy other things enjoy that?

Their artistic vision is how they made the game itself, if it were any different, they would have changed the game already you would think on something as basic as an "Easy Mode". It's not like you're suggesting some new gameplay mechanic specifically that's worthy of a longer discussion that may have been looked over. Nope, just an "Easy Mode". You deal a shit ton of damage, enemies can never kill you really unless you go out of your way. You're a bad ass. They've undoubtedly thought of that option before. They just don't want it as apart of their experience.

If you think it's "fine for the developer not to include an easy mode if they don't want to", you'd think a perfectly sane individual could understand an explanation regarding the developers not having that easy mode in their deck of cards. From the games themselves, to what the developers have had to say in interviews for years, the evidence is everywhere.

Calling things retarded as an all encompassing argument is hilarious. You don't win me over with that shit.

The way you frame it like people would "give up on a game" for having an easy mode is hilarious. What a spastic angle to view it from! That's so simplistic and narrow minded, it's hilarious. It comes from the assumption that ALL games should have easy modes, which is contradictory to your own claim that your "fine with the developers if they don't include one". Yes, easy modes don't really work out well in some games - specifically games where a level of challenge wants to be kept by the developers. So if you're fine with that, then why do you keep talking? Oh, because you're full of shit.

I am protecting their artistic vision because the directors have gone over, ad nauseum, about the Souls/Soulsborne games in interviews, time and time again. Their focus is on making a challenging, but fair game, that is surmountable by anyone if they're willing to learn from their mistakes. It's pretty simple. Play the Souls games co-op if you want some help. There's an endless amount of people willing to play the games with you (Demon's Souls is much harder, if at all, though to do so) with the system in place. It'll still be a challenge but with less of a learning curve.

The goal in all art and entertainment is not always to seek the broad audiences. There's plenty of areas where that doesn't work out. Eventually you hit a wall where you can't sacrifice your integrity for the sake of people that have plenty of other avenues to be entertained elsewhere the way they want. The world doesn't need to bend over backwards to change hockey for people who aren't interested, there's plenty of other sports for them to be interested. Not a fan of metal music? Maybe rap? Plenty of genres out there for you still.

Again, it seems "retarded" that I make this comparisons or explanations. Remember, you're not a special flower just because you had an idea. Including an easy mode is kind of obvious, if that's your intention, as a developer. It wasn't there's. ASIDE FROM CO-OP! You will still get invaded and you'll like it, though. And the bosses will have more health. Sometimes change their attacks and deal more damage (I don't remember exactly tho). 8)
