The person who cooks my food deserves a tip more than the person who carries the plate a couple of feet to my table.

Degrading us cooks to people who "only did one hing for you out of your entire experience" is a bit insulting. Do you really think the customer is coming to the restaurant to talk to you? I respect servers as much as the next cook, but fuck you. I get it, you're "10 year vet" and I've been in the industry for 7 years, but you're exactly the kind of person that's wrong with the industry. I'm not saying your job is easy, so please, don't tell me that my job is easy. I'd really be surprised if you worked in fine dining.

Let me spin it this way so you can understand.

As a 7-year veteran cook with experience in serving and expoing, there is so much wrong with this paragraph that I can't comprehend how you think this way.

Your tip is for the quality of the food, not for someone bringing your food. The person who brings your food literally only did like 3 things for you out of your entire experience. Cooks have in-depth, multiple steps, and technique determined by their concept or managers and ownders to make sure that you food is prepared well, including years of knowledge and schooling.
