Right? So as a human that had their ears pointed for body mod reasons (and I have other heavy mods) I would like to say it most certainly would harm the dog. If the healing was anything like my own that dog prob had to deal with swelling/pain/extreme itching for a few weeks and unlike with a person the dog wouldn’t have known why any of the above were happening which would prob make it even more traumatic. There is a chance the dog could experience nerve pain tinges after the procedure that wouldn’t go away. Personally I don’t have that but I do have pain on occasion when I sleep on my ear the wrong way even a couple years after healing. Idk after having it done myself and experiencing the pain of the procedure/healing it just reinforced my belief that ear cropping should not be legal for dogs.
