[Personal] I feel like acne does so much psychological damage

Absolutely! I'm lucky that my skin has cleared up mostly since puberty, but it was so debilitating because it's on your face... it's one of the first things people notice, even if they're nice... and I wasn't really the type to wear makeup outside of mascara, so I hated covering them everyday. Plus, you always get those clear skinned dicks who are like "hmm, have you tried washing your face?" like...

I've found a regimen that works wonders for me but I still sometimes get pimples, and they just bring back such an ugly and insecure part of my life. I agree with you, it's BAD! Especially (I'm assuming) for girls, because no matter how hard we try, we've internalized that our self worth is tied in with our attractiveness :(
