My 8 month old German Shepherd was hanging out with my father while I was cooking in my parents' kitchen. For some reason, she was acting like an asshole towards my dad. She was barking, getting up in his face, nipping at him, etc; being a straight up cunt. She was relegated to me in the kitchen with baby gates while I continued to cook. A hour later, my father comes upstairs complaining of multiple problems; sweating, fast heart rate, loss of breath, etc. My mother, a nurse, tells me to take him to the ER; she was getting ready to go to work at the same hospital but in a different section.

I take my father to the ER. When they test his blood sugar the first time, it's 45. The second time is 43. If We had waited any longer to get him to the ER, he would have been in a diabetic coma. Needless to say, my dad now loves my high-energy GSD puppy!
