I agree for the most part, except that the algorithm itself is flawed, and as we don’t know how the algorithm works (for fair reasons stated in the video) and I agree that an objective ranking would be better, but as we saw with Season 2 the list was overtaken by U.S. and Japan. The PGR should be what we could expect if a tournament with all the top players attended and how they would place if no upsets took place.

I believe that an updated algorithm PLUS a panel would be the most effective way of creating the list. A combination would help players who had great wins but had bad losses as well (Ex. Leffen who notably beat Tweek and Maister, but had some losses which made the algorithm disfavour him) and also discourage win farming in Japan. The issue of under-representation in countries could also be solved as an updated algorithm could at least bring to light notable players from smaller regions.
