Pharmaceutical giant 'plotted to destroy cancer drugs to drive prices up 4000%'

May be harsh but if you knowingly destroy or suppress research that would advance our species for personal gain it should count as a crime against humanity and be punishable as such on a global scale.

We now live in the kind of world where a corporate entity can do more damage than any government. The damage done by these entities is farther reaching and far more subtle than any bomb or army. Yet these groups remain almost entirely untouchable. A fine that doesn't even equal the profits made by the crime is not a punishment.

By making this kind of treatment unaffordable to most of the population (the same thing that has been happening to diabetics for decades) you are indirectly systematically killing off a population. To me that sounds an awful lot like a for - profit genocide in which the survivors are indentured servants to medical debt.

Again this may sound a bit harsh but I worked in a retail pharmacy for a few years and saw this happen every day. This shit makes me sick. If you knew how much of your life and wellbeing was controlled and monetized by a few select manufacturers and insurance providers (some of which are actually joined companies) you wouldn't be able to sleep at night either.
