PHIL 112 with Christian Lee??

I am currently taking 112 with him. He's really disorganized and he'll often meander so much while lecturing that he takes too long to get to the crux of the day's subject and then he runs out of time to explain it properly. The midterm, which hasn't been graded yet, was also unreasonably demanding for a 100-level class. It required you to write over three thousand words in a single day or prepare for two of six essay topics by writing nine thousand words beforehand (preparing was definitely a fool's game).

The comments about him hitting on his female students send a shiver up my spine, too, although as a guy I obviously haven't experienced that.

I notice that Dennis Whitcomb is teaching PHIL 114 next quarter as well. If you want to take a philosophy class for your HUM GUR, I would definitely recommend 114 instead. Whitcomb is engaging, well-organized, and really helpful and approachable in office hours. The subject matter should be right up your alley if you like philosophy already.
