Phil Spencer: We "desire to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation."

Funimation, crunchyroll etc that you mentioned is not relevant to the discussion at hand. And EVO isn't an event only for Playstation games.

Sony does a lot of Hollywood movies too if you didn't know? And music, oh and banking as well.

Sonys gaming division very rarely buys studios that makes games for multiple platforms. They acquire studios that already are making Playstation exclusives. Let's take a look at their recent acquisitions in terms of gaming.
Bluepoint, makes Playstation remasters and remakes.
Firesprite, one game that was on Xbox and switch, rest (save for the star citizen collab) was for Playstation.
Housemarquee, vastly focused on PlayStation but they had a few multi platform games.
Insomniac, very famously a Playstation focused studio, but they had a few multi platform games as well.
Sucker punch, very clearly a Playstation focused studio, with only one game for Nintendo 64 back in 99.
Media molecule, also a clear Playstation studio.

This is just for the last 10 years or so and what I could find info about.

So, Sony doesn't buy studios that focuses on multiplstform games, but studios with a focus on PlayStation mainly.

Now, with all this said, it is incredibly bad for all of us when these platform holders buy content producers. It needs to start being regulated more or we will end up in an awful scenario where the only "free" studios out there will be indie studios.
