Phil Spencer: Xbox E3 Show Will Be 90 Minutes

Very few people mind having a bigger console, especially if it doesn't overheat.

Implying that the PS4 has had more overheating issues than the Xbox ONE? Mind providing a source of such an implication?

however, the console as-is just seems too last gen for me with it being tiny and running hot.

So, the smaller size and the fact that it runs hotter makes it 'seem too last gen'? ... Really? By that logic, the original Xbox trumps the Xbox 360 AND the Xbox ONE... It was bigger and cooler.

The Xbox Being so cool is one of the reasons that they were able to Overclock it prior to launch, improving its performance.

And yet, it still is out performed by the PS4... And by any cross-platform developer's account - the PS4 is a bit more powerful.

Performance of Assassins Creed Unity vs. PS4

Do you have a reference stating that it was the faster CPU that allowed the Xbox ONE to run better.... and not just something like development being more focused on Xbox ONE than PS4 leading up to launch? Also, after the patches - the differences are negligible.

Titanfall just for example. Although I think that MS does have some more proving to do with Cloud Processing, etc.

Any details on how Titanfall utilized it? Any source to this 'proof' from Microsoft? I'm aware of the theory/concept of utilizing it for processing power, but have failed to see any stories of it actually being implemented.

I see no signs of Halo popularity going down, anyone who likes FPS games loves or at least respects it and others are mostly envious Sony fanboys who wish Killzone had something to offer other than lying about resolution.

Halo has been dropping in popularity since Reach. Halo 4 sold fairly well, but the Online dropped off really fast (relatively speaking). Only after a month or 2 the online numbers were hovering at about 40k... Which is pretty much where Battlefield 4 currently is at on the PS4 alone.

It's definitely not so far gone that it's beyond revival to top-tier status again... but ever since the rise of Call of Duty - and to a lesser extent, the popularity of Battlefield - Halo has been dropping in popularity (I'm saying it deserves it, I'm just saying the numbers speak for themselves).

You are correct, just remember that in order to be the best at something, you usually need to have alternatives to compare it to. Otherwise you would be the 'only' racer, and not the best. Forza is the best.

And I know plenty of people who would disagree. That's hardly an objective opinion... But since I'm not a sim-racing fan, I'm not going to argue for or against it.

One really nice use of snapping is in RPG type games where you have to do farming, either to level up a skill or find items. Doing the same thing over and over again gets old fast, and with Snap I can watch some Family Guy or anything I want on the side while leveling up.

Sure, there are some edge-cases where it's okay. However, there are plenty of work around's that are only mildly less convenient... LIke pulling out your phone/tablet and watching something on that.. Using a secondary TV to watch something while playing.... using Picture-in-Picture to watch while playing. It might be slightly more convenient, but it's far from the best way to do multiple things at once.

If you have to go into a menu, or do anything that takes more than 1 step its not instant switching.

Right. Double tap the PS button - BAM! Instant switch.

just tell it to do so.

You do realize the PS4 has voice commands too, right? Bonus: All you need is a standard headset - OR the PS camera.

I love going StarTrek throughout my games and apps. Its so slick IMO.

Again, PS4 has voice commands too. Also, the only time it elevates beyond 'gimmicky' is when I'm eating and want to start something without setting my food down. It solves a very first-world problem. Huzzah!
