But yes, I believe that it's the government's responsibility to protect Canadians from rogue Canadian companies, and Canadian companies that do illegal stuff like this.

And I believe that the oversight responsibility of the Canadian Government, over Canadian companies doesn't just stop at the border.

And so the Canadian Government IS partially responsible to an extent for this mess, not in the sense that the Canadian Government did this themselves on purpose, but rather it's a Canadian company, registered and based in our country, that did this.

And when companies do things like this, the government should step in, take action, clean up the mess if they have to, and then seek financial damages and fines and penalties from the company responsible.
