PHL232 or PHL240

JJ (Jim John) is a good professor, and PHL240 is pretty interesting course. It deals with personal identity. It goes well with psychology as well. I would recommend this course.

PHL232 is bit more abstract metaphysics and logics. I have taken that course this summer and I found it to be surprisingly interesting, but that is because instructor who taught the course this summer was very good one. I tried to take the course last winter and drop it.

My recommendation is PHL240. I think PHL232 is very hard for non philosophy major students unless taught by incredibly well-taught instructor. If you are into Math + CS, I think you might find phl232 to be easier though. If you are into philosophy and humanities, go for PHL240.
