Pitch me why I should play MMOs

There’s really no reason for you not to try Lost Ark and see for yourself if you’d enjoy it since it’s F2P, plus it’s about as different from New World as it could really be while still roughly falling into the same genre.

Personally, I enjoy the social aspect of MMOs the most, too. I’ve been at endgame in FFXIV for a while and I lead a raid team but don’t have much to do in my downtime, so I spend it running events, hanging out with my guildmates, or chilling in player-run venues chatting with people. For me, it’s a blast to get to know a server’s community, learn who has a reputation for what, and seek out random interactions for better or worse. The unpredictability and potential for making lifelong friends feels a lot closer to IRL socialization than lobby games do.

But as I said, I’m also a raid lead, so I have a lot of fun planning and diving into the most difficult content the game has to offer to challenge myself and my friends. The constant efforts to learn, improve, and gear up is something I enjoy a lot.
