Pitchfork Gives Childish Gambino’s 3.15.20 a 6.0

It's cyclical. Same shit happened with Chance. A musician releasing an album people don't like means that they're terrible people with no redeeming qualities who the smart people on /r/HHH have never liked. People treat him like Jesus when Atlanta is on, but they didn't like this album so he must be awful.

For what it's worth, I straight up love this album and think it's his best yet. I don't actually think it's overly experimental, I think the songs have a relatively normal structure to them with somewhat unique use of abrasive sounds and extended outros, but nothing crazy. All of the complaints "trying to hard", "fake experimental", "abrasive noises" are non-complaints that don't actually say anything. Idk, I think it's great and I enjoyed it thoroughly, especially on relistens. I'm not saying that people have to like Gambino, but man I fucking hate these quick switches where people now act like he isn't talented.
