Pitchfork Reviews Jesus is King by Kanye West (7.3)

(standard disclaimer: I stan Kanye, would die for him, etc.) They're really pushing the limits of the thing where the words in the review and the score don't generally match up. 7.2 is like "this is generally good music" but the actual content of the review is fairly negative. I think it must be that they're afraid to give a harsh review to someone like Kanye because I don't really know how else you'd explain it

Someone else pointed it out but this is a few points lower than 808s and you'd have to be insane to think those two records are anywhere close to each other in any way (concept, theme, execution, arrangement, mixing, mastering, pick anything else)
