Places to go near Bellevue that aren't packed?

Sorry I'm late responding, but I've lived in Bellevue/West View almost my entire life.

Danny's on Center Ave is laid back and chill, I like to go there when I just want cheap drinks at a local bar. Staff are friendly. They've sadly done away with taco night (RIP) but still have good specials, and they even special-ordered a beer for my sister one time.

Rum Runners on Babcock (closer to West View, but not a bad drive from Bellevue) is really awesome and my choice for parties. We went there for NYE and had a blast; good crowd, but not too crowded - no trouble getting drinks whatsoever; the staff was on point. They have classier dining downstairs and a fun tropical/sports theme upstairs. Crowd tends to be a little older, no college kids.

Shenanigans on Babcock also has good specials and a younger crowd. Decent food, not quite as nice of an atmosphere as Rum Runners but in the summer months it's nice to sit on their patio. Be forewarned though, one time (only once though) the waitress royally screwed up our drink orders when she brought our checks and fought with us about it. It was very embarrassing and we didn't know how to fix it. She charged us for drinks we didn't order and refused to remove them from the bill. Very odd.

Grille 565 in on Lincoln Avenue in Bellevue and though I haven't been there yet, I have heard good things. They apparently have a nice area with music downstairs, and good food. Most importantly, they have the only liquor license in Bellevue, the first in history (Bellevue was dry until just a yearish ago), so you should go give them your business!

I've also been to the Hideaway Tavern in Avalon, just once, but thought it looked really quaint and old-fashioned inside, if that's your thing. I think they're cash only, though.

BTW and unrelated, if you haven't eaten at the Bellevue Diner or Rusty Nail (cash only), do it! Great food. And Lincoln Bakery is wonderful.
