Planet Fitness cancels Woman's membership after her complaints of transgender woman in locker room

Statistics are very easy to twist into something else - that is certain, and I never said that it wasn't. What I was attempting to show, and quite possibly failed at, was that you can take something and make it seem like those factors are what caused something when in fact the issue is more nuanced. Your whole platform has been, "transgender people should use the bathroom that aligns with their genitals, because someone could fake being transgender and do something awful". That in and of itself is making trans people as a whole take the brunt of a very slight possibility of someone who isn't even in their group's actions without taking into context any of the other factors that surround them.

As to your comparison of trans people's 'equipment' and clothing - they aren't comparable. You can change clothes, get new ones for a few hundred bucks ABSOLUTE max. You can't just change your crotch. Do you have any clue how expensive surgeries are - especially since almost all insurances exclude trans coverage?

MTFs (assuming even that they don't get breast augmentation):

Hormones per month (assuming the most common combination of Spironolactone and Estradiol at standard dosages) - About $150

Bottom surgery (assuming they're getting it in the USA, and that they're getting the most common procedure) - $15k to $30k depending on surgeon and if there are issues.

FTMs

Hormones per month - About $40-$60

Top surgery (assuming double mastectomy) - $6k - $10k

Bottom surgery (assuming phalloplasty) - $50k - $100k depending on issues, etc.

Bottom surgery (metoidioplasty) is about $50k as well.

There's also things like vaginetcomy and hysterectomy.

SO.... they're not really equal. At all.

As to this:

If you have a flash drive in your pocket, no matter how innocent the content might be, I'm not letting you into my server room.

Sounds like a trust issue. Which all of this is, allegory or actuality.

You have a penis but would never in a million years assault a woman? Great, me too! Guess what? Neither of us belong in the ladies' room.

While I'd never assault anyone, I don't have a penis. I do use the men's room, though! And no one even cares that I'm in there because I look like a dude.

You wanna push for full-stall unisex bathrooms? Great. Individual changing/locker rooms? Even better. Otherwise, a pre-op trans woman has no more business in a women's locker room than I do.

While I do think that neutral options would be nice, they shouldn't be mandatory. And honestly, yeah, you're a cisgender male - you don't identify as female. So no. You don't belong in the women's room. I'm a transgender male - so neither do I. I'd probably make them uncomfortable, and I'd be uncomfortable as fuck because I'm not a woman.
