Plastic Surgeons Are Worried About a Condition Called 'Snapchat Dysmorphia' - They want to look the way they look with a Snapchat filter, and they’re willing to undergo plastic surgery to make it happen.

As a guy I don't buy the whole 'symmetry == beauty' argument. I have a very asymmetrical face, significantly more so than most people. When I was younger I had been told by countless women that I was attractive (I've had girls howl at me, yell at me "you're hot!", girls come up to me unprovoked and give me their number, etc). Now I'm older I don't get the same reaction at all (not the best complexion, yellowed teeth, hairline receding, bad posture, all the great quirks of getting older and smoking cigarettes), but still, proportions > symmetry. My proportions aren't bad and I'm a tall guy. My father also has a very asymmetrical face, so I think it's more genetic than phenotypic / from embryonic stresses like disease.

Guess I'm just trying to say: don't smoke and don't get old.
