I’d recommend getting a new couch, you can find good deals on wayfair:) I’d also get a rug for beneath the couch that would also extend towards the TV, wayfair and overstock have sales going on right now. I’d also recommend getting two new throw pillows too. A wood coffee table would look nice, check out Facebook marketplace where you could probably find something nice for $30 to $50 if you search around. Also, you could get an inexpensive chair off FB marketplace to put to the right of the couch (if you’re looking at the couch) which I’m sure your cat (looks like you have cat furniture) would soon claim. Lastly, I think hanging a large piece of art above the couch would look nice (check FB marketplace too) and then smaller pieces of art and photos above your desk. Best to you! I think the couch and rug would change the feel of the room a lot and you can do it on a budget. You have a very cute space already and I love your plant!
