Please help my orange jasmine bonsai! It has been dropping and losing leaves, any possible diagnoses? More details in comments.

Plant details - Orange Jasmine Bonsai - Bought last November from a bonsai specific shop - No recent re-potting/transplanting/fertilizing - Unsure what type of soil it is in, but it seems somewhat loose (has some larger pieces of mulch type stuff) - Pot is about 6in wide, 4in far, and 2in deep, and has two roughly nickel-sized drainage holes at the bottom

My current care - Placed indoors by an East facing window (my house does not have a south facing window unfortunately) - Watered thoroughly (until water comes through the drainage holes) every 2-3 days. This is per recommendation of the seller. - It is winter where I live, but many days still have a lot of sunlight. We did just get a good deal of snow, but I have been making sure that the bonsai’s space is kept warm. I have been moving it away from the windowsill at night so that less cold reaches it.

Problems and hunches - Bonsai has been losing lots of leaves, and now seems to be drooping forward more than usual - When I purchased the bonsai, it did have a couple small blooms. For a couple months, new buds would appear but would die off/not bloom. No blooms have been spotted for a couple months now, although I think this may be normal since it is winter. - I have not fertilized the plant since purchasing it. I haven’t been able to find much information on rate of fertilizing during the winter, but I wonder if this could be the culprit. I will be looking into liquid fertilizers today.

Thank you in advance for any help and advice!!
