I agree except to one end - I dislike Dead by Daylight's solution.

I prefer 7 minute stall fests where the player is at least demonstrating some understanding of game mechanics before Jason either grapes them or they run the clock out. In Dead by Daylight the game devolves at most levels into "I dislike this game and am therefor going to take 17 minutes to find a 4x4 hole on the map that I will then sit at for 10 minutes or until the Killer catches their first glance at me."

I very much like your idea for highlighting key objective points. It gives people an opportunity to both outplay and escape Jason while not making the game into a several minute stall fest depending on the player's skill.

I just want to reiterate though that adding a system that simply rewards the last person for being alive for having thrown all their teammates under the bus or having hidden in a closet for 10 minutes while their team was brutally executed or what have you from simply sneaking out with their escape EXP and denying Jason and the rest of the spectators the chance to feast their eyes on the execution of a noobling or an ass.

That's just my 2 cents.
