Please tell me Good experiences with the combined pill! Just have read bad ones

Hello, PCOS patient here too. Like you, I was so afraid of going on the pill too 2 months ago. Not only have I read horror stories online, but I experienced it myself. Back in 2014, I was prescribed Dianne35. I stick it out for 2 cycles but finally gave up because it was hell of a nightmare and my doctor at that time wasn't listening to my complaints. The depressive mood swings, migraines, weight gain, bloating, what have you, I had it all. I told myself I'll never go BC again. Come 2 mos ago and I'm being bugged by PCOS symptoms again and I searched for a better doctor. She prescribed me Mercilon which is a lower dose of bcp. Now, I feel great! My chest and back acne cleared up, my face is still work in progress, my mood swings and pms gone! (And i tell you my pms is not a joke) I felt like a fog has been lifted. Overall, I feel great. I have light periods and no debilitating cramps anymore. My libido haven't changed, tho a bit stabilized its still fairly high and is at a level I can live with. The only side effects I got was some spotting, discharge and stronger odor from those for the first 1.5 months, just have to wear a liner, problem solved. I think I had three mornings I woke up with a bad headache, but something I managed. My sense of smell changed too, I used to love my shea butter lotion but now I get nauseated at the smell of it, just have to stay away from them and I'm good. I don't have that "feeling dull" or "not feeling like myself" but I feel a lot calmer not dull, in contrast to months of on the spot crying.

I hope my post reassure you atleast to some degree, I believe we shouldn't give up on bcp unless we try our options available but if you have more questions, you're free to hit me up :)
