Please Trevor

It's probably the last time I'll say this here because I don't want to turn into some weird internet troll who repeats the same shit over and over (or is it too late? shit!) but it's simply because Jon built the show and everyone on it who is pre-Trevor adds that Jon-mix to it.

It's different from say, Letterman > Colbert switch, because that's network and resources aside, they can (have to be) pretty dumbed down/neutral etc. as long as they keep the energy level high.

Jon built the show - we're not just talking writers and co-anchors. Remember the last episode of him walking around saying hello to literally everyone? They're good at their job but their job was Stewart, not the Daily Show. Late Night on NBC or wherever is full of people whose job is Late Night (the formula is virtually the same each time) not the host.

Daily Show is plummeting simply because the people need to be replaced. There's no other way around it. They're doing their best but this is why it feels disjointed - you are who you are and they were hired by Jon for Jon.

I don't know the innerworkings of running a studio but I have worked under a couple of CEOs of medium-size companies and it really is all connected just as Jon's last segment shows - from janitors to accountants to the more obvious ones like produces, directors and obviously CC itself (and perhaps even their parent co.).

Noah has to work within THAT sphere.. I'd never want that job.. that's probably why so many have turned it down. The difficulty isn't in the fact that you're 'replacing' Jon but in the fact that you have to work within Jon's own company without him as the CEO.

If my CEO was replaced one day, his vision, his people, his everything - the company would be completely fucked until he fired the old and hired the new (which is what most of them do - didn't mean to rhyme but I'm keeping it and with that - I'm gonna get RICKITY RICK WRRRREEE-BURRRP---DDD)
