If the market/people don't like this investment vehicle/product then they won't buy it! Plain and simple.

There's multiple reasons for investing. One of them is to support your nation, or an important allied nation that is struggling.

Just because people want to buy these bonds for reasons that don't align with your own investing philosophy does not make it wrong.

Quite simply: if you don't want to buy these bonds, then don't buy them!

But I will! That's for certain. I consider it a VITAL investment for the continued free market system of the West. Because if Russia wins in Ukraine, that does not bode well for a thriving world economy.
