Poland 2nd in EU in accepting immigrants, surpassing France and Germany, among others

Well, this is undoubtly true, but we all know that Poland accepts Ukrainians and Belarusians, so Europeans with similiar values and despite some war time issues very similiar to Poles. I mean there was a time when most of those three countries were one. So it is undoubtly easier. Also Poland can not get migrants from poorer EU countries as it is the poor EU country so it has to import some workforce from further East.

That being said, I don’t think it’s far to compare all non-Eu migrants as a defense for not taking Syrians etc. in that case the Ukrainians and Belorussians should nit be counted. They should be counted and compared to Poles in Germany or the UK. But I guess Poland’s conservatives like to use this as an easy argument for not taking refugees...
