My 8 month year old pupper loved to swim in a hot tub we have outside and I hadn’t used it in a while. Eventually I wanted to use it again and started filling it up with hot water.

My dog decided to go have a swim and jump in. I can still remember the screams of pain, I’ve never heard a dog make that noise before, we rushed him to the vets and informed us he had been scolded on every part of his body from his eyes (so he can’t see) to his penis (so he can’t piss) and needed to be put down.

It was horrific and upset me for a very long time, and it was all my fault.

I know that with these types of trained dogs they have to form a bond with their human partners and I can imagine how upset and horrified this cop is.
